ORBIS is able to share that after meetings with the Economy Secretariat in Mexico that new regulation NOM-019-SE-2021 will enter into force no later than December 31st, 2022 with a transitional period of 180 days.
The new NOM-019-SE-2021 testing protocol will change for all products classified as data processing equipment such as desktop computers, laptops, servers, routers and consumer products that have data processing characteristics. The process lead time will change from a four, to eight week timeline. Highly Specialized Equipment that is under the scope of NOM-019 will also be impacted with much higher requirements to meet. Many of the certificates issued in 2022 will lose their validity by June 28th, 2023 unless a transitional process is executed. This is specially impactful for HSE Dictums.
Please contact us to get your project planned and executed by our team before this transition begins to avoid any delays.
