Global Market Support: Local Representation, Samples, and Customs

In-country support for product approvals: local holder representation, samples concierge and translations, HS code guidance, and customs clearance in the markets where you sell.

The in-country layer

Approvals happen in a country. Somebody has to be there.

Every product approval eventually touches the ground in the market it's for. A regulator wants the certificate held by a company registered locally. A laboratory needs samples cleared through customs and delivered on a date. An authority wants documentation in the national language, legalized. A shipment needs a tariff classification that matches what the certificate says the product is. None of this is the technical work of testing and certification, and all of it can stop a launch as surely as a failed test.

Manufacturers selling into many countries face this layer in every one of them, with different rules, languages, and logistics each time. Handling it through whichever distributor or freight forwarder happens to be available means the compliance manager loses control of the certificate, the samples, and the timeline in exactly the places they can least afford to.

ORBIS Compliance provides global market support as the in-country layer of our Legal & Engineering Global Regulatory Advisory. Local holder representation, samples logistics, translations, labeling advisory, HS classification, and customs support are delivered by the same team that manages your certifications, visible in the same ORBIS Intelligent Compliance workspace.

Services

What global market support includes

  • Local Holder Representation

An independent in-country entity to hold your type approvals, registrations, and producer obligations, so certificates stay under your control regardless of distribution changes.

  • Samples Concierge and Translations

Getting test samples into and out of countries on schedule, and delivering the translated, legalized documentation each authority requires.

  • HS Code Guidance and Customs Clearance

Tariff classification that matches the product and its certificates, import documentation, and support when a shipment is held.

The principle

Your approvals should belong to you, not to whoever happened to be in the country when you filed.

Independent local representation is how a manufacturer keeps control of its market access as distributors, importers, and partners change.

How it fits

Part of the same accountable relationship as your certifications.

Market support is most valuable when it's planned into the approval path rather than arranged when the problem appears. When ORBIS scopes a homologation, the need for a local holder is identified at the start. When a test program requires in-country testing, the samples plan is built into the schedule. When a product's certificate describes it one way and the import declaration another, we catch it before customs does.

Everything sits in ORBIS Intelligent Compliance: which entity holds which approval in which country, where samples are and when they'll arrive, which documents have been translated and legalized, and which HS codes have been assigned and why. Your team and authorized partners work from the same record.

For manufacturers with local presence in some markets and not others, we fill the gaps. For those with none, we're the in-country layer everywhere you sell.

Be present in every market without opening an office in each.

Bring your target countries and the approvals you're pursuing. We'll tell you where a local holder is required, how samples need to move, and what customs will ask for.
