ORBIS Compliance

Regulatory Library

Regulatory Library: Regulations, Standards, and Country Requirements

Reference material for global product compliance: regulations and standards explained, guidance documents, country-by-country approval requirements, and technical resources for specific product types.

The reference shelf

Regulatory knowledge, organized the way a compliance team looks for it.

When a compliance question comes up, the search usually starts in one of four places: what does this regulation or standard require, how does approval work in this country, is there guidance on this specific topic, or what are the technical details for this product type. The ORBIS Regulatory Library is organized around those four questions. It's the reference material behind our regulatory news, written by the same legal and engineering team, and maintained as the rules change.

The library is public and general by design. It won't replace a regulatory analysis of your specific product in your specific markets, and it doesn't try to. What it does is give you a reliable starting point: an explanation you can trust, a country summary that tells you what to expect, a guidance document that walks through a regime properly, and technical resources that answer the engineer's questions. Each item is dated and cites its sources.

How the library relates to the platform

Public reference on the site. Expert-curated intelligence in ORBIS Intelligent Compliance.

The library is the public face of a much larger body of regulatory knowledge that ORBIS maintains for client work. Inside ORBIS Intelligent Compliance, that knowledge is structured by product, market, and requirement, kept current by our regulatory team, and available to clients as immediate guidance with the option to escalate any answer for expert verification. It's how a compliance team gets a defensible answer in the time it takes to ask the question, without waiting days for an email.

We're careful about the distinction. Platform guidance is fast and drawn from expert-curated content. Expert verification is a separate step performed by a qualified ORBIS legal or engineering professional when the decision requires it. Both are valuable. Confusing them is how a confident answer becomes a costly one.

The library, like the platform, reflects our standard: read against the source, dated, and clear about what's confirmed and what's still moving.

A caution

Reference material is where a regulatory decision starts, not where it ends.

Public summaries, including ours and including public AI, can't tell you whether an exemption applies to your enclosure or whether a regulator has started enforcing a rule that's been on paper for years. Check the specifics before you commit budget.

The library is general. Your products are specific.

When you need the regulation read against your product and market, book a discussion. That's what our legal and engineering team does every day.
