The ORBIS Compliance Podcast
Conversations with compliance leaders, regulatory practitioners, and the ORBIS team on how global product approval works, where it's heading, and what the people doing it are learning.
The conversation
Compliance is learned by talking to people who've done it. This is where we do that on the record.
The ORBIS Compliance Podcast is a series of conversations about global product approval: with compliance managers and directors at manufacturers, with regulatory affairs professionals, with engineers who've lived through a difficult certification, and with the ORBIS legal and engineering team about what they're seeing. The format is a discussion, not a lecture. The topics are the ones compliance teams actually talk about when the slides are off.
Episodes cover how specific markets and regimes work in practice, how compliance leaders are handling regulatory change and management pressure to modernize, what happened when a launch went wrong and what it taught, how teams are using and misusing AI in regulatory work, and where the function is heading. Guests speak for themselves. ORBIS speaks for ORBIS. Both are labeled.
Episode themes
What we talk about
Compliance leaders on the job
How compliance managers at global manufacturers run their programs, what keeps them up at night, and what they'd tell their younger selves.
Markets from the inside
How approval really works in a specific country or region, from people who've filed there, including the parts the regulator's website doesn't say.
When it went wrong
Launch delays, held shipments, and retests that shouldn't have happened, told by the people who lived them and what changed afterward.
AI in the compliance team
What compliance professionals are doing with public and specialized AI, where it helps, where it's dangerous, and how to tell the difference.
The regulatory horizon
QR-code certificates, battery regulation, connected product cybersecurity, and the other changes that will shape the next few years of approvals.
Inside ORBIS
The ORBIS team on how they approach a problem, what engaging a regulator is actually like, and what they've learned from the work.
"Technology and the human element go hand in hand. Only then is there balanced progress."

Using the archive
Every episode with a summary, timestamps, and the resources it mentions.
Episodes are listed with a short summary of what was discussed, who was speaking, the date recorded, and timestamps for the main topics, so you can find the part relevant to you. Where an episode references a regulation, a standard, or a market, the listing links to the related regulatory library or regulatory news coverage. Where the regulatory position has moved since recording, the listing says so.
Compliance teams tell us they use the podcast for commutes, for onboarding new team members who need to hear how practitioners think, and for the occasional episode that's exactly the market or problem they're facing this quarter. Subscribe wherever you listen, or browse the archive here.
