Digital Certificates and QR-Linked Compliance Records

QR-linked certificate pages for markets that now require a digital record a customs officer, a buyer, or a regulator can open from the product.

Digital Certificates

Some markets no longer accept a PDF that only your team can find.

A growing set of requirements asks for a certificate that can be opened from a QR code on the product or its documents. The page has to show the right certificate, for the right configuration, and stay available after the shipment has landed.

ORBIS publishes that record through QRLink and keeps it tied to the product file in ORBIS Intelligent Compliance. The certificate, the configuration it covers, and the people allowed to see it stay in one place.

How ORBIS scopes it

What decides the file

  • The mark on the product

The QR code is only useful if it opens the certificate for that unit, not a generic company page.

  • Who can open it

Some records are public. Some are for customs or a named buyer. We set that before the code is printed.

  • After the grant

Renewals and revisions have to land on the same record, or the code on products already in the market goes stale.

Questions

Before you start

Can we buy this without the rest of the platform?

+

A single QR-linked certificate can be scoped on its own. Teams that want the record inside the rest of their compliance work use it as part of ORBIS Intelligent Compliance.

Does a QR code replace the certificate?

+

No. It is how a reader reaches the certificate. The approval itself is still the underlying file.
