Energy Efficiency Certification
Energy Efficiency Certification, Labels, and Registration
Register efficiency results, apply the right label, and obtain the certification a market requires before an electrical product can be sold.
Energy Efficiency Certification
The efficiency number is not market access until it is registered and labeled.
Energy efficiency programs ask for a measurement, then a registration, then a label that matches. Selling with the wrong mark, or with a number that was never registered, is a compliance problem even when the product would have passed.
ORBIS takes the results from energy efficiency testing and completes the registration and labeling each market on your list requires.
How ORBIS scopes it
What decides the file
Registration
Some programs accept a declaration. Others require a filing and a number before the product ships.
The label
The mark, the class, and the value on the product have to match the record. We check that before print.
Model families
A registration often covers a defined set of models. Adding a SKU later is a change, not an assumption.
Questions
Before you start
We measured the product in our own lab. Can you register it?
+
If the method and the laboratory meet the program's rules, yes. If they do not, the measurement has to be repeated before we file.
Does the label design sit with marketing?
+
Marketing can design around it. The content of the mark has to come from the registration, and we hold that line.
Bring the product and the markets.
We will tell you which of this work applies, which evidence you already have, and what still has to be done before the product ships.
